Hello

Hello, I’m Ali. I’m an Ecotherapist and Nature Based Facilitator with a background in youth and community work, training and land based living. My journey to ecotherapy included many years living in permaculture communities, where I first experienced how intentional time connecting with nature profoundly benefits both human and ecological wellbeing. The two are intrinsically linked.

How I Can Support You

Together in our sessions we will explore how cultivating your own nature connectedness can bring about feelings of belonging, growth, compassion and resilience in the face of uncertainty. An ecotherapeutic approach understands that by restoring our experience of ourselves as nature itself, deep self-led healing can emerge.

The NSET model of ecotherapy is an effective, safe, gentle and relational approach that isn’t re-traumatising or pathologising. It can help with depression, anxiety, grief (including eco grief and despair), stress, addiction, overwhelm, burnout, feeling lost and recovery from trauma. In addition it deeply supports personal growth, meaning and self-esteem.

I will hold a compassionate and insightful space for you, capturing and reflecting your experience with depth, curiosity and where appropriate, a little humour. My sessions are particularly well suited to adults with late diagnosed/undiagnosed neurodivergence and those feeling adrift in life. I am passionate about supporting people to flourish into their whole, unique selves.

I work in a trauma-informed and person-centred way, which means I aim to meet whatever is arising in you - and between you and nature - moment to moment and at a pace that you dictate. As well as talking, sessions may include creativity, mindfulness, movement and solo time in reflection with nature. Collaboratively, we will craft your own personal toolkit of nature based practices that you can lean into long after our time together has ended.

Nature Tokens
“From the very beginning, Ali met me with such presence and sensitivity — holding a safe space for my grief while inviting in the landscape to support me. Even though it was our first session, I felt an immediate trust that allowed me to relax and let whatever needed to arise, emerge naturally. I’m deeply grateful for the experience, and for Ali’s ability to hold the depth of my bereavement with such compassion and lightness.”
